  • Can I say anything in a Vox?
    We encourage freedom of expression on QuickVox however we do have some rules which we will apply to remove any unsuitable content. Please see our Usage Rules.

  • What is an active Vox?
    When you go to Active Voxes or return to the homepage you will be automatically presented with voxes you have not yet voted on. Our system automatically selects the voxes based on a combination of recentness, popularity and edition.

  • How long is a Vox active for?
    By default a Vox is active for 3 months unless the Vox author choses a shorter period of time in the Advanced Settings when creating a Vox.

  • What are new Voxes?
    New Voxes is a list of Voxes ordered by date, most recent first.

  • What is an edition and how do I change it?
    When you register you will automatically be able to see voxes from all around the world. If you wish to only view voxes from a particular region, you can change this preference at any time in your profile.

  • What are Voxlings?
    Voxlings are any other QuickVox users. You can then follow Voxlings by clicking the follow button on the Vox. If you want to stop following a Voxling click on the x for the user in the list on the right.

  • I created a Vox a few weeks ago but it isn't active / doesn't exist any longer. Why is this?
    Our software may close Voxes if they don't achieve a certain level of activity. To find closed Voxes, use the Search box at the top of the page and select 'Closed Voxes'. A Vox may also be deleted by an administrator if it is deemed unacceptable for any reason. Please see our Usage Rules on acceptable content for Voxes.

  • How do I see the voting statistics and demographics for a Vox?
    After voting on a Vox the statistics and demographics will be displayed at the bottom of your screen.

  • What does the country specific vote mean?
    The country specific vote provides details of how people voted in a particular country. The statistics for Gender, Age and Occupation show how QuickVox users all over the world have voted on the Vox.

  • How is the country specific vote decided for a Vox?
    The country specific vote defaults to the country of the Vox author, unless the Vox author chooses a different country in the Advanced Settings when creating a Vox.

  • What category of occupation do I fall within?

  • What is the difference between a public and a private Vox?
    Anyone can vote on public Voxes without registering. To vote on private Voxes you must register. Public Voxes have a globe symbol and private Voxes have stars to denote their popularity.

  • How do I edit my Vox or change the topic?
    You generally can't change the wording of your Vox as it may have been voted on already. However contact us if there is an obvious mistake or spelling error.

  • How can I request a new topic?
    Contact us.

  • How do I report an inappropriate Vox?
    If you think that any other Voxling is using QuickVox in a way which breaches the Usage Rules, please flag the relevant Vox for our admin team by clicking the 'Report Abuse' button on the Vox. Alternatively, contact us here. We may remove any content which is inappropriate.

  • How can I discuss a Vox in more detail?
    Click the 'Debate' button under a Vox to go to the forum and discuss the Vox.

  • How can I report a user for inappropriate behaviour in the forum?
    In the forum you can click the ! icon or you can contact us.

  • Why are you asking me about my personal details?
    We aggregate demographic data of all the votes cast on Voxes to provide you with the demographic statistics, however we do not link any of this back to any individual user. The information we gather is only used for aggregated, anonymous statistical gathering. For further details please see our Privacy Policy.

  • Will you pass on my data to anyone else?
    We do not share any personal data with any other parties other than as set out in our Privacy Policy.

  • Will you bombard me with emails?
    We will not send you any unsolicited email other than for the proper functioning of your account.

  • Are my votes private?
    Yes, we do not link any votes back to any individual user.

  • Why can't I see any Voxes?
    QuickVox requires a modern web browser like Internet Explorer 7 or better, Firefox 2 or better, Apple Safari or Google Chrome. The QuickVox website requires javascript and cookies to be enabled to operate properly.

    If you have problems viewing the website, please ensure your web browser meets these minimum standards and javascript and cookie support is enabled. Contact us if you are still having issues and you have both javascript and cookies support enabled in your browser.

  • I can't login as I've forgotten my password. Can you send me my old password?
    For security we don't send passwords via email. If you have forgotten your password click on the 'Forgotten Password' link on the login page and supply your username or email address you used to register. You will receive an email with a link to reset your password. If you can't remember either your username or email, then contact us and we will try to reset your account manually.

  • I'm having trouble using QuickVox. Can you help me?
